A: God is and you are a part of God. So God is none other than your true nature.
You are
the light of the world but as in all things you are a container that may or may
not clearly reflect this light. Your
aura is the energy around your body. It
can be filled with concepts and thoughts and symbols. At times these will act as filters both for
incoming energy and information and for the way your energy flows out into the
world. A simple example of that would be
the concept that the world is a fearful and unfriendly place. You would look through this concept at the
world and be suspicious or fearful of others and have a hard time receiving
from others or seeing their support. You
would be more likely to question their motives and agendas. Others looking at you through the concept of
the world is frightening may see you as standoffish, cold, or unfriendly. Another example would be if you felt
undeserving it would be hard to let in the abundant love from God. In the same way that we minimize and deny
things that are bad as a coping mechanism we may minimize or deny Divine Love
as a way to feel safe if our ego structure is held together by images of not
being good enough, being bad, or in some way undeserving. I do believe that the Power of God is strongest force in the universe, being
the creator of all that is, and that there is nothing that I can do that will
ultimately obstruct my unfolding. That
said we do have free will and this includes our ability to deny God or say no
to the God of our hearts and the numerous ways we as creative spirits get in
our own way creating road blocks, expectations and distractions. Sometimes that TV show and bowl of chocolate
ice cream is really where you want your attention as the body asserts its
desires and agenda. You need body
breaks, rest cycles are important. If
you have an agenda for spiritual growth and you the spirit in charge treats
your body as something to drag around from workshop to teaching to book to ...
and you don't listen when it says, give
me a break, let me absorb some of this stuff,
I operate in time and space, listen to me. You may get sick or break a
leg or do something to slow down that will be harder than balancing body and
spirit as you go along.
So relax
a little. Your spiritual path is an
unfolding. It is a natural process like
the growth of a rose. There is nothing
you need to do - you are already spirit.
Be attentive to what draws your attention - be it a class or a new
book. Come and participate in this
spiritual community. Give and receive
the support of others and when you feel

challenged
put in a prayer request, ask for help or a healing, meditated more or take a
break from practices. You know yourself
better than anyone, if you study yourself, you will know when to apply more
effort or discipline and when to create space.
Do you need a little more attention on communicating with God and
clearing the way or do you just need to open the channel and create some space
to listen?
If you
answer yes to needing to clear the way here are some techniques and ideas to
assist that process. As always I start
with grounding. It is the energy
connection that allows you as spirit to be in harmony with both your body and
connected to this reality of planet earth.
This grounding assists you in creating
or bringing in energy that is in agreement with this dimension and
reality it also gives you a pathway for releasing energy that no longer serves
you. All things are energy and when you
let go of something that energy is available for another use and is
recycled. If you have any of the issues
I touched on before of fear or self worth these can also be released down a
grounding cord or put into roses and blown up or erased.
We also
have earth energy and cosmic energy channels that help us balance body and
spirit which is useful in communicating with God. We are of the earth and the body with its
slower vibration needs over time to raise the vibrations so it can more easily
bring in the higher vibration of the spiritual aspect of yourself. You have two ways of coming and going as
spirit from the body. The top of the
head and seventh chakra is the one I
emphasize and it is also where the cosmic channel connect at the back of the
chakra and go down the back on either side of the spine. The other coming and goings spot is the third
chakra or solar plexus and this is the one accessed for most out of body
experiences in dreams and astral travel.
The Earth Channels run from the arches in your feet and up the legs into
the pelvis and the first chakra which is just above the base of the spine and
then let some of the earth energy go back down your grounding. If you are experiencing alot of cosmic energy
or in flowing from Source increasing the amount of earth energy you are running
can greatly help the body feel safe and comfortable. In your first chakra the earth and cosmic
energies mix together and then can flow up channel on the front of the
body. As it reaches the nap of the neck
some flows out to the shoulders and down the arms and hands. The rest, mostly cosmic energy by this point,
continues to flow up and out the top of the head, where it can cleans and clear
your whole aura and then collect at your feet and be channeled back to the
center of the earth through your grounding.
The flow of energy can carry away

anything
that is no longer in harmony with you right now, be it mental, emotional, or
physical or any other aspect. Make the
agreement with your body that says: I am
grateful for the lessons that I am learning. I am ready to release
anything that no longer serves my growth.
Say thank you to all who have played a part and release them. Thank your concept of God for all the help
imaginable to support you in this new phase of growth. This includes inner guidance and helpful
beings like angels and healing guides, gold beings that have the neutrality and
respect for free will and work only for your good. Take a moment and affirm to yourself and your
body that you are wanting to work with beings that respect your free will. That any beings around are in present time with you - they may be
from childhood when you felt you needed protection or from a past life when you
had a different agreement - so get into present time with any guides or beings
that you have around - you donÕt need to be aware of them on a day to day
basis, just trust and pretend, imagine and do it. So it is. Another agreement to make with any helpers on
the inner planes is that they are of a vibratory rate that is at least as high
as yours or greater. If it is higher it
can help up lift you or continue to match you as you grow.
The
reason to talk about spiritual beings without bodies at this point is that
often when children see beings they see both the angelic friendly helpers and
the not so nice ones that family members or friends have that are frightening
or controlling. You are in charge of any
agreements you have with out of body beings about them working with you. If you don't have certainty about your
agreement with God for your body and personal space it can be frightening or
you may feel like you don't have power over it.
The reality is that you have much more power and focus, than any out of
body being, by being willing to take on a physical body. Your body is set up to run best on your
personal vibration. It is ok to work
with a being as a channel if it is by agreement, there are many people writing
books who have taken on an entity and are willing to share their personal space
with them to spread that beings message.
There are drawback on a physical health level to having another beings
energy trying to run in your channels in the long term. The more sensitive you become to your body
and feeling energy the more easily you can distinguish foreign energy. You may even notice if it is your child,
lover, mother or an out of body being.
Some things we are just so use to that we claim it as our own even when
it is not. Those are subtler and can get
cleansed with help or at a later date.

So lets
take the example of a child who sees an out of body being that is frightening
and then fears being taken over by energy outside of oneself. This is how
individual experiences become a bundle.
You have the concept of God is out there and male. You have God as ultimate authority
figure. You have father as male,
external authority figure. Parents as
God etc. You have a father who is
worried, remember Rev. Sandy's definition of worry is praying for what you don't
want. His picture is fear of being out
of control, which could lead to incest.
He opens to needing something to help him feel like he is in control so
he brings in a being who is dark and controlling. The child sees this and it is
terrifying. She sees her father consumed
in darkness. And then since he is out of
control his worst fears are realized.
The father as spirit is not in his body and he invades the child's space
and she splits to some fantasy land or back to the light. In pain and invalidation spirit leaves. This is my spiritual rendering of what is
happening in the clinical disassociation talked about in childhood sexual
abuse. For the child this is a survival
tactic. There is not the option of
calling in the hosts of heaven and kicking out the demons as the child's
physical survival remains being part of the family. Nor do most little ones have the skills or
information to do this.
Given
this history it can be hard to open to God.
The fear of being invaded by energy other than you can be a long term
project. Part of it is getting to where
you know and trust that God is not really out there somewhere. There is an aspect of letting it in but it is
more of a meeting and dissolving of the inside outside dichotomy.

God's
Love (I)
"Swami,
when I discover God within me, I love Him as something separate from me. When
realizing that God is me, do I love myself?
"That statement is incorrect. It is as if
you were to ask me if the sun illumines itself. Let's begin with the second
part of your question: God does not love giving love, God loves being. God is
love. Each time you contact God, you receive love, which is His essence, just
as when you put yourself in the sun, you receive its light. It is not possible
for the sun to negate its light, nor is it possible for the water not to wet,
nor for the fire not to burn. Would you say that water wets itself? God's love
is not given as you give your affection to another person. In duality, there
exists the possibility of direction, quality of sentiment, and the temporary
nature of your love. You give something and another receives it. God does not
give, God is. That is why you are told to put yourself in contact with God, in
order for you to enjoy His essence, which is clearly apparent and absolute. If
God would give love, there would exist the possibility that God would not give
it, choosing not to give something of Himself.
"Come
near to God and you will receive God's love, not because He gives it to you,
but because you have come close to God and you receive His emanation. Thus,
God's love does not discriminate. It is received by anyone who approaches God
with an open heart. That is the only indispensable condition. If you claim it
from afar and doubt that it is true, it will not happen, just as one who is in
a cave with closed eyes cannot perceive light. If you desire to find the exit
and grope in the dark with your eyes open, at some time you will see a
glimmer. Run toward that glimmer, come
out of the cave, and you will be bathed entirely in the light. So it is with

Being
close to God and being illumined by it is very evident in Pir Valyat Khan, the
son of Hazrat Khan who wrote the invocation I read earlier. I took a workshop from him in 1980 and every
now and then he would stare off into space and smile. It was a look of childlike delight and then
he would pick up his thought and continue teaching. I remember thinking. This guy is really
plugged in. I went to see him again fifteen years later. He was clearly staring into the face of God
and even more luminous than before with the same bliss. After he spoke I over heard long time student
commenting how on he was that night.
Having the opportunity to do a little meditating during his presentation
and being good at matching energy left me very happy, blissful and with the
internal giggles. It made the drive home
from

Power
can come in with the delight and bliss that I experience around someone like
Pir
Valyat. Power can also come in with the strength of a
hurricane or flooding rain that can be kind of scary. One of the reasons for fear is simply judging
the level of intensity. Another is
previous misuse of power and fear of repeating that pattern. Often this fear is unconscious and has karmic
roots in past lives. But it is very
common in people who are trying to balance power within themselves to have
previously had power and used it to control people and situations outside of
themselves. It is one of the
evolutionary steps it seems to me of spiritual growth; another incident of
taking the focus off external reality and turning within.
So if
you think power is a bad thing than it makes it hard for you to be
powerful. Power actually is
neutral. It is the energy that gives you
the ability to fulfill your life purpose.
It can be the stream that carries you along. Power is not you; it is not one of your
possessions. At the same time if you let
yourself have your power you will be that much more you. You will be a powerful influence in the
world. But as one of my favorite bible
quotes goes, do good work and give glory to God. So the paradox : God is and You are God but it’s not me in any
ego sense doing the work. The power is
not me and what I am bringing is none other than me. There is no separation. In the
MEDITATION
Ground,
Center, Run energies in all channels Earth Cosmic, Healing & out top of
head
Enjoy
the healing of running your energy, being conscious of creating as spirit.
Pick a
favorite color and see or feel it on top of your head. Match that color in the energy your bringing
up your feet, through whole system and out your hands.
Do again
with Gold,
Know
that you can intentionally change you energy whenever you want. If you are in Pain or apathy try running
green or orange for a while and see what happens. If you are feeling generally ok you can still step it up a few notches to
Good or Enthusiastic.
Supreme
being crystalline clear light.
Everybody
Let go of the vibration you are currently running let it dissolve to the center
of the earth.
